Our Story
LifeTrac was born from a simple yet powerful idea: agricultural technology should be accessible to everyone, not just large commercial farms. Founded on the principles of open-source innovation, we believe that by sharing knowledge and technology, we can transform agriculture across Ghana and Sub-Saharan Africa.
Our journey began with the recognition that smallholder farmers—who produce 70% of Africa's food—face significant barriers to accessing modern farming equipment. Traditional agricultural machinery is often too expensive, difficult to maintain, and not designed for local conditions.
Through our open-source approach, we develop locally manufacturable, maintainable, and affordable equipment that can be built and serviced within farming communities, creating jobs and building local capacity.
